I'm 240 lbs, 5'5 height and wondering can I get a tummy tuck, fat transfer/liposuction?? (photos)

A body mass index greater than 30 increases the risk of complications. If you're interested in having an abdominoplasty surgery with fat transfer you should make sure that your BMI is less than 30. If you have a goal weight then make sure that you reach your goal weight prior to surgery. Losing weight before surgery allows your surgeon to remove more excess skin and tighten your abdominal wall more easily. It will give you the best chance of having long-lasting results.

You are a wonderful candidate for a Tummy Tuck to get rid of the saggy skin on your abdomen. A nice and tight muscle repair will make your abdomen flatter and your waist smaller and tapered. BUT definitely losing weight will be requested because of safety (BMI under 30)You have to understand your life and health are our priority and I do not believe you want to end up with complications neither do we as surgeons. So, do not be discouraged. Just remember that you'll get the best possible surgical result in the safest way possible when you are closest to your ideal weight. While it may not be practical for you to get down to your "ideal weight", I would still suggest you set a weight loss goal and see if you can achieve it within a predetermined amount of time. Once you achieve a safe, stable weight, tummy tuck with liposuction of the sides and back would produce a nice result. I
would search for the board certified plastic surgeon who you feel is
most likely to give you the best results and who performs hundreds of
these procedures each year. I would look at patient reviews as well as

Most surgeons calculate body mass index (BMI), and use 30 as a threshold for both safety and outcome.  Above 30, risks escalate dramatically, and outcomes are so-so.  You would have to get down to 180 pounds to reach that threshold. Your consultant gave you disappointing but wise advice. All the best. 

You can get a tummy tuck, however as other have told you your result will significantly better if you lose weight before the procedure. A tummy tuck is an important investment in yourself and it makes sense to try to get the most from it.
