Endoscopic Thoracic Sympathectomy (ETS) for excessive facial blushing and sweating?

Hello, I am wondering if ETS surgery would be an appropriate treatment for frequent and intense facial flushing caused by KPRF. I am considering this because I also have excessive sweating on my underarms. Both issues are very bothersome, looking for expert opinions. Thanks.

Thank you for your question.I developed the Center for Excessive Sweating in 1999 and perform every type of procedure for patients with hyperhidrosis, bromhidrosis and facial blushing, including micro ETS.micro ETS is 85% effective in treating facial blushing but is associated with compensatory sweating in the lower body. As such, you should find someone who has a lot of experience with this and also, have a detailed discussion about compensatory sweating - in some cases, it can be debilitating in terms of lower body sweating. Compensatory sweating may not be reversible once it is established.In regards to your underarm sweating, there are many options and you should start with topicals (Hypercare) and an anticholinergic (e.g. Robinul) and if those don't reduce the sweating enough to improve your quality of life, try Botox injections or miraDry.Read my ebooks about hyperhidrosis. As ETS is a bit more invasive, most patients do not go with it although it's an accepted technique.  Botox can be used to treated excess sweating in many areas, including the area you've mentioned.  You should consult with a qualified derm or plastic surgeon who has experience in this condition.  Expect a little over 6 months out of every treatment.  Most patients who have it are very satisfied in our practice.

I do a microBotox technique for treating facial sweating. There are better options for sweating than surgery. I haven't met too many people happy with the operation.
