hi docters! im 22 years old male from india and have been using finasteride for 1.5 years and recently started(3 months ago) using dr reddys mintop 10 and having irritation on forehead and above ears also severe itching on scalp(tried nizoral too) had faced some sleepless nights so by reading forums i am planning to switch rogaine foam 5% as it not contain propelyne glycol so my question is my hair will fall again as it is foam and also lower concentration advance thanks for the replies

There there is a study that compared the results of minoxidil at various dose levels. They started with extremely low levels and went up to 2%. Since you are presently on 10% and plan on lowering to 5%, I  believe that you will not see a significant difference in the five and ten percent versions. I would recommend using a micro needle roller prior to application of the minoxidil so that absorption is increased. Micro-needling alone is helpful in hair regrowth.PRP hair MD . com

By reducing minoxidil dose, if you see hair lsos I woudl suggest that you go back on the higher dose as this change can cause hair loss
