Cheek fillers 7 hours ago. Is pea size lumps normal? (photos)

Question

1 syringe of juvederm volume in each cheek by a nurse injector.. I see bumps and am concerned this will not go away? Is it common to see this or did I end up with an inexperienced injector? It’s harder to see with the camera lense..

Swelling and lumps can be typical. Icing, firm massage and cold compresses may give improvement. I would wait a full 2 weeks before judging the results. If it is after the two week wait, you can have the filler reversed with hyaluronidase.

Dear Jolie, 
I am sorry to hear this has worried you. This can be a normal reaction after having dermal fillers and will normally settle within two weeks. Cold compress can help with swelling. If the lumps do not settle then request a face to face review with the practitioner that injected you. 
Hopefully all will settle and you will love your results at two weeks. If you are still unhappy at two weeks then HA filler can be dissolved with an enzyme.

Thank you for your question.  Based on the photos provided this looks to be just normal swelling.  It is not uncommon to see lumps while your body is still healing from the injection.  
Swelling and bruising can take up to 2 weeks to subside. At that point I would recommend following up with your board certified physician or experienced injector if any lumps are still evident.

Hi,What you are experiencing is not uncommon after dermal filler injections.  This is just injection site swelling and should go away within a few days.  You can ice and massage the area to possibly help the swelling go down quicker.  If you still have small lumps/bumps after a few weeks, then I would suggest returning to see your injector.
