Should my body be absorbing small amount of fluid after a seroma?

Seromas form only when body can not keep pace with its accumulation.  If bodies had already absorbed serum there will not be seroma.  Restrict mobility, wear compression garments and get seroma aspirated as long as they keep on occurring.  There is simply no other way to deal with it. 

Thanks for the question.  I am sorry you are having some difficulties.  Fluid build up, or seroma, after a abdominoplasty can occur with some frequency.  Especially after one feels a bit better ( week 2-3) and begins to increase activity.  If it is a lot of fluid volume, or you feel comfortable, draining may be required.  Usually drainage is anywhere from 1-3 times.  But if it is but 25cc/day,then that volume of fluid seems scant enough that your body will eventually begin to absorb it.  Continuing compression is helpful.  Avoid strenuous activity and follow up with your surgeon... but this most often resolves with time.
