Should my body be absorbing small amount of fluid after a seroma?

I'm 2 mo. post op full tummy tuck w/ lipo. At week 3, I had a seroma w/ water bed. Since, I've been having weekly aspirations. Fluid is maybe 25 cc last 2 times. My dr says my body will absorb on its own. So why is that not happening? It comes back and does not go away on its own. Compression worn 23/7. How long do you keep draining a seroma after surgery before its deemed a larger issue? Is this such a small amount, it isn't a big deal?
