I got a face and neck lift one year ago - is a revision an option? (Photo)

I’m 50 years old and went to NY to see a top doctor for a lower face, neck and brow lift. I am devastated at my results but scared to pay for another procedure and have it either look overly pulled and fake or not work again. My original doctor tells me she thinks it was a good result but there is no way please give me an honest answer and advice on whether it’s possible to do a good, natural and safe revision? Why would it have gone so wrong and how much would a good revision be?

From the photos, it appears that the platysma muscle under your chin has become stretched and separated, which has also caused the overlying skin to sag. The two prominent vertical bands on each side are actually the separated edges of this muscle. By tightening and reattaching the separated muscle, these visible bands can be improved.
In addition, it seems that the sagging skin and wrinkles around the mouth have not improved significantly. Without a full-face photo, it is difficult to make an exact assessment, but based on the current images, I would recommend considering a facelift and neck lift again.
Using the deep plane technique, which lifts from the SMAS muscle layer for a more fundamental improvement, is likely to achieve more effective and longer-lasting results.
