Are cheek implants a bad idea?

I’ve heard mixed things about cheek implants. Some doctors say they’re great others say they won’t do them anymore. I know they can appear to droop with age (could new implants fix that) & show through the skin, not sure if there’s a fix for that. I don’t rly want to do filler bc it’s not permanent & if u can’t keep affording it or something you can be left with sagging skin I’ve heard. Wondering if implants are a bad idea in the long run.

Facial fillers are now long lasting, forgiving, and are able to accomplish the same result as cheek implants.  Cheek implants can cause bony resorption which worsens mid face projection.

Unfortunately, most of the "facts" in your question will need clarification; cheek implants are excellent option for properly selected patient and, in experienced hands of board certified plastic surgeon.. Cheek implants offer permanent augmentation to the mid face rather than fillers which offer a temporary augmentation. Cheek implants are manufactured in a large array of thicknesses, sizes, and shapes. In our practice, we use Implantech brand of solid silicone cheek implants with a excellent Success rate.
