I don’t like how my nostrils flare out on the sides and point upwards. This causes my nose tip to APPEAR like it’s pointing down even though my nose tip is fairly neutral. I also don’t like how the inside of my nostril is visible on the sides of my nose. I am hoping that through alarplasty that I can reduce the flare as well as get my nostril skin to cover the sides of my nostrils therefore only allowing my nostrils to open up in the front and bottom of my nose. Answer: It's not clear whether alar plasty alone would suffice.
Pinching the nostrils together is unlikely to make a noticeable change in the cartilages. However if you are concerned about the flare then Alarplasty is the way to go.
