3 weeks post-op BBL. How much percentage have I lost? (Photo)

Question

MOST of my swelling is gone, I'm starting to get most of my feelings back in my back and my stomach. Although it is still numb a little. MY butt when I got out the surgery, it was 43 inches. It is now 41 and half as of today. I don't want it to keep shrinking!!!! How much percentage have I lost would you say? I know 6 weeks is more likely what the perm result will be. Do you think it will go past 40 inches? I don't want it to go past that!! :"(

Thank you for your question and sharing your photo. Unfortunately, I can't see much from the photo. Swelling will continue to go down over time. Usually around 6 weeks is what will remain. Hi and thanks for the question. It is hard to say what percent of fat loss you have at this point. Swelling after BBL can last for several weeks and the tissue has to adjust by stretching to accept the transferred fat . This can take 12 weeks on average. So hang in there, your body will continue to change for the better 12-16 weeks out from surgery. Best of Luck - Dr. Hardy...

Usually by about 6-8 weeks the majority of swelling will have subsided and what you see is pretty much what you get.

Too early to judge on the final result. You are still at the healing stage. The area in your lower back will be still bruised and swollen and this will take 8-12 weeks to settle. Wear your garment and keep your follow up with your surgeon.You have to give your body at least 12 weeks to start seeing results and final results can take 3-6 months depending the way your body heals

Fat volume actually decreased all the way to 6 months, but the majority of the loss occurs by 3 months. You are definitely not done shrinking at 3 weeks. There is swelling until 6-8 weeks that has to go down and then the fat volume loss will continue. You cannot pinpoint how much more you will lose as everyone is different. Some patients lose 30% while other lose 50%.
