If I get implants again what is the likelihood this will happen again? Any of your patients experience this?
Answer: Implants removed bc of pseudomonas infection. Could infection be caused from dressing changes? I am sorry to hear about the complication you have experienced. As you can imagine, it is difficult for online consultants to provide you with specific/definitive assessment or advice. These types of decisions/recommendations ultimately depend on clinical judgment, based on close clinical evaluation/experience…As you likely know, Pseudomonas is very common bacteria, widely encountered in soil, water, plants, and the hospital environment. Exactly how you develop this infection may be very difficult to ascertain. Whether or not you will develop a recurrent infection will depend on many factors, including the severity/location of the previous infection and how well the infection was managed/treated surgically and with antibiotic therapy. Timing to proceed will be a very important decision; it will be key to make sure that there is no existing infection present. If in doubt, best to err on the side of waiting… Again, sorry about the stressful situation. Best wishes for an outcome that you will be pleased with longer-term.

Answer: Breast implant removal There is an increased risk of infection if you have had a previous infection. If you had a complete capsulectomy before there is less of a risk in my opinion.
