Fat and necrosis after BBL: 3 weeks post-op. (Photos)

Yes you need to continue packing the wounds so that they can heal from inside out at this point.  Cultures will help direct antibiotic therapy if the necrosis is infected.  Once the sweeling an inflammation has resolved a new plan can be made.  when I have dealt with these situations in the past I have used some imaging to help.

Unfortunately, infection and fat necrosis are known complications after a BBL. The "holes" are openings that your body has created to allow the infection to leave. You do not want these holes to close prematurely and infection be left behind. You will likely have some irregularities where the fat necrosis occurred against areas where fat survived. More fat grafting and or liposuction can be done later on down the road once you are all healed. You will have a scar with some hyper pigmentation where the "holes" are. This can be treated with all sorts of "scar" creams and lasers.
