Abdominal adhesions post 3 c-sections. Is it possible for me to get a tummy tuck, muscle repair and lipo?

Think of a your organs as being within a plastic bag and the abdominal muscle as a blanket or "sheath" that sits on top of the plastic bag. As a tummy tuck with muscle plication is performed at the level of the abdominal muscles ("blanket") and above, it is unlikely that your history of having adhesions will be a contraindication to having a full tummytuck with muscle repair and/or liposuction.

If you do not have a history of small bowel obstruction due to the adhesions, you will be OK to proceed. Make sure your surgeon is aware of your history.

Hi adhesions from a medical perspective refer to scar tissue within the tummy cavity, not under the skin. An abdominplasty remains outside the tummy cavity so adhesions should not matter.
