Fraxel or Co2 are best for resurfacing. I always combine lasers with microneedling/prp for more robust outcomes. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist. Best, Dr. Emer
Fractional CO2 laser is an excellent tool for skin rejuvenation in our center in Santa Monica. We use the fractional multi-depth ablative approach to help resurface the skin, recontour acne scars, improve incisional plastic surgery scars, and reduce surface irregularities from skin tone to dark pigmentation. Our approach utilizes a multi-depth approach that targets melanocytes in the epidermis and collagen fibroblasts in the dermis. This approach can be combined with a TCA Peel in a process known as a sapphire peel. Fractional laser is excellent for acne scars and contour scars in the skin. Patients are advised to undergo skin protocols with Melarase creams before and after treatment to help reduce pigmentation. Melarase AM, Melarase PM, and Melapads can seriously improve surface sun damage and UV related pigmentation. After the laser, we expect redness for a few weeks as the skin improves. PRP and Hydrafacial enzyme facials can further improve skin quality after fractional co2. Best,Dr. Karamanoukian Realself100 Surgeon
While I appreciate your quest to find the best device for you, your first priority should be to work with a board-certified dermatologist who is also a laser expert. This professional will be able to evaluate your skin and devise a customized treatment plan to meet your needs, skin tone and desired outcome. I can tell you that a laser is an excellent choice for addressing these areas, but you might get an even better result by combining the laser treatment with injectable fillers that can smooth away any remaining lines. A qualified doctor will be able to determine whether this combination would work or if another treatment plan would produce a better result.
I recommend you to Profractional laser treatment for your upper and lower lip lines. It has ablation and coagulation modes and you will see improvement as much as possible with couple of sessions according to your doctor's advice.
You're asking the wrong question. What you need to know is which doctors have the most experience and skill to do the job. You could be very disappointed if you have anything done by someone without those characteristics. Also, based on my experience, CO2 laser. Hands down.
Every patient is different. In my practice I like to perform fractional CO2 laser followed by microneedling using the patient's own PRP. Fractional CO2 is an ablative procedure and usually 1 session might be enough. Non-ablative fractional lasers can give good results as well but multiple sessions are necessary.
Agree with the comments, its finding a method by a Specialist dermatologist or plastics to fix the problem with a solution. Lasers or RF are not the only answers. An in depth assessment is needed to find out more- are these static or dynamic, or combination of both ? What is your skin type? Down time? Expectations? Level of background damage? In general CO2 is the Gold Standard, but if dynamic wrinkles are present, combination treatments are needed. I have done several videos on treating lip lines (also known as 'smokers lines'- unfairly termed for those who do not smoke). Videos entitled how to treat smokers lines on YouTube. Explains in great detail. All the best, Dr Davin Lim. Brisbane. Australia.
