Can you take aspirin post op for PRP hair loss treatments?

I don't think anyone can say for certain if taking tylenol, ibuprofen, or asprin after PRP will affect the results, mainly because we still don't fully understand the science of PRP. There is a theory though that inflammation caused by the trauma of PRP is beneficial in recruiting additional growth factors and healing cytokines to the area which will stimulate the hair follicles. Anti-inflammatories will counteract this process. This is one possible reason to avoid those medications. Another is that asprin can make your more prone to bleeding, and that it acts on platelets. All things considered, I don't recommend anti-inflammatories after PRP however if someone was experiencing discomfort on the scalp after a treatment then I allow Tylenol to be used.

While there is no science to answer this question, both aspirin and nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory agents such as ibuprofen both work against platelets and the products that they produce. Therefore, it seems prudent to me, to simply use Tylenol or synthetic opiates for pain control for a few days postop after PRP hair restoration. Hope that's helpful.
