A lip lift surgery with the intent to raise the lateral portion higher would give you a more even amount of pink lip exposure. In your case, the lateral needs to be raised more than the middle.
I would highly recommend getting a formal evaluation with and treatment from a board-certified cosmetic dermatologist and expert in facial sculpting. Technique is the key to a successful lip augmentation with fillers, so you'll want to see someone meticulous. An experienced physician will be able to determine which filler, how much filler, and which technique will give you the subtle result you're looking for. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer
You seem to have particular shape of the upper lip that makes central lip portion full, while sides are narrower. Surgery to correct this shape may be to extensive, including scar along lip/skin border. I am not sure whether lip lift of the sides only, would create a better result? Fillers may help to slightly change this shape. In person consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon who has experience in different types of lip lift, is recommended. Good luck.
Dear melaniejennie,Thanks for asking this question. You are a good candidate for a lip lift with corner lift. A lip lift will help shorten the distance between the base of your nose and the top of your lip. The corner lift will allow the corners of your lip to roll out/have more show. It would also increase the dental show at rest. A lip lift is done under local anesthesia (~60-90 mins), or can be done with sedation. It is a permanent procedure. The incision is placed under the nose and heals very favorably if done by an expert. Social downtime is 1-2 weeks because of lip swelling. The results are immediate. Notably, 1) shorter distance from the base of the nose to the top of the lip, and 2) increased red lip show at rest. I recommend you see a board-certified facial plastic surgeon like myself. I hope this helps! All the best,Dr. Sanan, MDAkshay Sanan MD Facial Plastic SurgeryDouble Board Certified
Dear Enopahcrasj,Thanks for asking this question. You are a good candidate for a lip lift. Your lip philtrum measures 17 mm, and can be reduced to 12-14 mm, depending on your exam. This will allow an improvement of the upper lip. Filler can be added to the lower lip to augment it. A lip lift...
Most doctors will start with one-syringe to avoid overfilling. These fillers, (Volbella, Restylane, Juvederm) are good to create a symmetrical and full lip. PDO NovaThreads can also be used to improve shape and also provide lift. Fat or implants are a permanent alternative. I recommend getting a...
A downturned smile or permanent frown can be improved with a combination approach, including neuromodulators (such as Botox, Dysport, and Jeuveau), injectable fillers, and radiofrequency skin tightening treatments such as Thermage or Venus Legacy. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with an...
