Is noticeable odor normal after miraDry?

Excessive odor and sweat are normal following a miraDry treatment, but only for about two weeks post treatment. This is because the glands have been "stung" so to speak, and they're purging the last of the sweat/odor. However, if this side effect continues past the initial two weeks, contact your provider.

Although miraDry™ treatments usually take effect immediately or very shortly after your treatment, it is possible that your body needs more time to process the treated sweat glands. Additionally, some people may see the best results after a second miraDry treatment. If you’re still not satisfied with your results in a week or two, check back in with your provider to discuss your options.

For the most part, the results of Miradry are immediate. However, because Miradry kills sweat glands, some patients notice a different odor for several days after. Give your body a few weeks to clear everything out but also follow up with your Miradry doctor to discuss your concerns. 

Good question!  For the most part miraDry should go into effect immediately.  If you find that you are still sweating and have odor a few days later, then give it a week or more for those sweat glands to be removed from the body.  This may take longer for some people than others.  There should be a 82% reduction in your sweat, so that should improve the odor.  Some people may also require deoderant for a few days to a week or so after treatment.
