When will MiraDry be available to treat other areas than the underarms?

Question

I have hyperhidrosis since a traumatic delivery, embarrassingly enough in the area between my buttocks. Botox works but has to be repeated and is only fully effective for perhaps 6-8 weeks. Can the area between the buttocks be treated with MiraDry?

At this time miraDry can only be used under the arms. I would recommend a dermatologist visit for you to see what other options they may have for you. Our miraDry rep is not allowed to discuss other areas nor future plans for the device but one would assume they are investigating. Best of luck.

Thank you for your message! Unfortunately the miraDry procedure is currently only FDA cleared to help reduce underarm sweat and odor, though hopefully they are developing something in the future to help other areas. I would recommend keeping up to date with your provider on any new miraDry news!

Currently miraDry is available only for axilla (armpits), but there have been circulating rumors about hands coming for years.  As it always takes years for the FDA to approve new things I would advise looking into different options for now such as drysol, iontophoresis, and botox with your Board Certified Dermatologist.  There are options available to you while you are waiting.  Hope this helps.

Unfortunately, Miradry is not able to treat other than armpits. I believe some studies are going on for the hands but I dont have any information.
