Are potential side effects still the same if used only on eyebrows?

Hi, thanks for your question. There should be no risk of you changing the colour of your eyes if you are using Latisse on your eyebrows. You really only run this risk if Latisse were to be placed directly into your eye, which when applied correctly to your eyelashes or eyebrows should not happen. Thank you for your question. When lash serums are used for eyebrow growth, there is a VERY SMALL chance of eyelid or iris color change. These changes only occur when the product gets into the eye. So the further use away from your eye, the smaller the chance. I hope this answered your question:)

Thanks for your question. In the dermatologic literature, there have been no cases of iris color changes using topical Latisse on the lids for the eyelashes or on the eyebrows. The reports of brown streaks occurred in very very few patients with glaucoma that were using the bimatoprost (Latisse) for their eye disorder, not for eyelash growth, and only in patients with light green eyes, not brown or blue eyes. I would think there is no risk of eye color change, but talk to your ophthalmologist if you are worried. I love Latisse and have been using it for over 10 years, and I have light blue eyes. I love the efficacy for both the eyelashes and brows. Best of luck!

You should not have any risk of the iris changing color if Latisse is applied to the eyebrows only. The side effect of iris color change is primarily reported when bimatoprost, the active ingredient in Latisse, is used as an eye drop. This medication, trade name Lumigan, is placed directly in the eye as a treatment for glaucoma. If Latisse is not entering your eye, it should not change the color of the iris. I recommend Latisse frequently for my patients with thin eyebrows and have not had any problems. Good luck!
