Hello, for some unknown reason my nasolabial folds appeared this year and gradually went worse. I gained some weight too , maybe 5 kilos. But I doubt that this is the real reason. I want to know, what permanent solution do I have to fix these lines ? or the best solution ? thank you
Answer: Improving nasolabial folds with fillers (voluma, radiesse), sculptra, lasers, microneedling/prp, ultherapy, rf treatments, peels There are a lot of options for improving the nasolabial folds and this often means fillers for the folds themselves but also lifting around the mouth and cheeks to build underlying anatomical support. In our practice we combine sculptra with other fillers "layered" on top and lasers, rf treatments and peels to get the most conservative natural look. Please see a facial sculpting expert. Answer: "Permanent" solution for nasolabial folds Unfortunately there are no permanent solutions to this issue. My current focus for deepening nasolabial folds is augmentation of the cheek area. This repositions sagging cheek tissue which causes the deepening smile line. This is followed by a small amount of volume addition to the smile line or nasolabial fold itself to soften the fold. Injectable fillers or fat transfer can achieve these goals. Voluma for the cheekbone area last about two years while Juvederm or Vollure for the nasolabial fold will last 12-18 months. Even if you choose the route of fat transfer, the results typically do not last five years and the procedure itself requires a trip to the operating room and has the inherent risks of lumps or bumps that can be difficult to correct. My recommendation for this type of issue is always a safe, off the shelf, FDA approved filler product. Best.Stephen Weber MD, FACS

Answer: Fillers for Nasolabial Folds Your best option would likely be filler injections into the fold itself as well as possibly into the cheeks to restore lost volume and lift the cheeks. This is not a permanent solution but can provide a long-lasting, non-invasive, natural enhancement. In my opinion, it is best to start slow and gradual and add more over time if needed. You would need to be seen in person for a more specific recommendation.Best,Dr. Ort

Answer: Deepening Nasolabial Folds Thank you for your question and submitting your photos. I recommend an in person consultation with an experienced injector. If you are looking for a long term solution, Bellafill is FDA cleared for 5 years although the results will likely last much longer. Bellafill consists of tiny particles of PMMA which stimulate the body to produce collagen. These particles never go away and cannot be destroyed by lasers or other interventions. Therefore, it is very important that your injector is very experienced in the use of Bellafill. A good injector is going to focus on the entire face as the nasolabial folds are the result of volume loss throughout the mid-face. I hope this was helpful - Dr. Moore.

Answer: Fillers for nasolabial folds Thank you for your question andreeamax. I understand your concern. Fillers are used to restore lost volume in and enhance the appearance of the face. It is difficult to make an assessment with these photographs. However for my patients I usually recommend Voluma in the upper cheek or Vollure directly into the nasolabial folds. Please consult with a doctor for specific recommendations. Good luck!
