This is my second time applying relaxers in my face, the first time it last on the eyes for about 3 months, and 4 or so on my forehand. This second time I get on the same areas plus between the eyebrows. I notice last time because of the forehead unable to move that part wash getting all the movement and small lines start showing. After the treati notice to some days have a head ache. And that’s because I so use to lift my forehead and always have my face muscle tide, and not having them relax. But with the pass of the weeks your face getting more relax and actually feels good. Specially when you do not see the ugly lines on your face.
Dr Scheel and her staff are outstanding professionals and have used them for years. One time the eye trough filler migrated very slightly and caused a minor bump on my upper cheek. She dissolved it promptly and the end result was a youthful face that looks like it didn’t have anything done. Thank you, Dr Scheel.
Excellent experience. I go there for everything skin related. They are professional and curteous. They have a clean, stylish work place and a great staff. I love their parties and always feel comfortable asking questions. Highly recommend Dr. Scheel and her staff!
This office is not just for the ladies. My wife got me a gift certificate at one of the office’s events for a full body skin check. While they were doing my skin check, they used MelaFind and detected a basal cell carcinoma on my cheek. Dr Scheel’s team did a great Mohs surgery on it. Was very impressed and glad I went in for a routine checkup.
From the minute you walk through the doors, the experience starts ! I love everything about this office. From the staff, the products, and the many different procedures they offer. I have had everything from Botox , chemical peels and basal cell skin cancer removals. Regardless of the treatment or procedure the staff is extremely qualified and there to help you every step of the way.
When I walk into Dr. Scheel’s office, I know I will be well taken care of. It’s the best of both worlds: a spa-like feeling met with the highest medical standards and care. I’ve been coming here for years to get HydraFacials, IPLs, and chemical peels. This is also the only place I go to for sunscreen and skin care products. I love Monica’s personal line she created in the last several years and would highly recommend it. What I especially love about this office is their attention to detail and the personalized experience I always receive. When I became pregnant with my son, they tailored my treatments to make sure that both me and my baby-on-the-way were safe the entire time.
I have been a patient of Dr Scheels for several years. She has always given me what I feel very good treatment and always listens to my concerns regarding my skin. Her office help is outstanding and I feel lucky we have her here on the Big Island.
Had laser procedure done by an assistant with no measurable results. Was then advised a stronger level should have been used and I had the option of repeating the procedure for 50% off. So their bad judgement results in my paying more? Your experience might be different, but I don't think I'll be supporting their incompetence any more.
I took the Kybella plunge the first week of 2017. I had originally thought I would get Smart Lipo, but couldn't find a practitioner on the Big Island of Hawaii. I'm on a budget, so couldn't factor in the additional time/expense to fly to Honolulu, Oahu for the procedure. When I stumbled upon Kybella information, I was thrilled because it was an injectable, instead of a more invasive procedure. This website helped a lot in seeing a broad cross section of results, good, bad and in between. I've been particularly monitoring posts by women that are age 45-55, since I'm 51. Older skin is different from 20 or 30-something skin. It doesn't "bounce back" like it used to! My experience was very similar to most everyone who has shared here. I received 2 vials for my first visit. They applied a numbing cream to my neck about 30 minutes beforehand. I'm not sure how much it helped, because the shots WERE intense and painful, particularly about the midpoint of the injections. It almost reached an unbearable threshold, but that crescendo quickly faded within a minute. I don't know how many injections in total. I applied ice immediately following, and for the rest of the afternoon/evening. The area got red and started to swell immediately. I live in a warm climate, which means a no-scarf zone. Thus, I had to tough it out, looking like a bullfrog for the first couple weeks. I found myself hiding behind my long hair a lot! It seemed to take 2 weeks for the swelling to subside enough to get back to my starting point, neck-size-wise. I went through the whole swelling, bruising, jiggling, numbing that most everyone has described. I've learned that patience is important, and not getting too discouraged during the first 4-5 weeks after the injections. It really does seem to take a while to see what you're going to get. For this reason, I'm just posting before, and 6 weeks after photos. Everyone already knows what the bullfrog neck looks like; it is a temporary part of the process. I had a lot of neck fat, combined with a somewhat weak chin to overcome. At 3, 4 and 5 weeks out, I was still pretty skeptical that anything positive had been achieved. But, this past week, I finally see and feel differently! Enough so that I've set the appointment for round 2, which I'll get on 3/5/17. Ready for an even better result! One thing to note: I got the procedure at Dr. Monica Scheel's practice, however, I opted to have Patsy Colvin, PA-C, administer my injections. She seems to know her stuff and did a fine job. Updated on 15 Mar 2017: Updating, 2 weeks after receiving 2nd round. I had 2 more vials injected on 3/2/17. Like the first time, immediate swelling and redness. However, it was definitely less painful, less numb, less swollen than the first round back at the beginning of January. The swelling also went back to baseline much faster this time, about a week. I had a couple small bruises at some injection points, easily covered with make-up. The discomfort was minimal to non-exitent after the second day. It's only been 2 weeks, so I know to be patient to reach my final results. I'm extremely optimistic based on results from the first round. It took a full 7-8 weeks to see results, so I'm expecting it to be at least another month before I know where I'm at. My doctor scheduled me for "after" photos at 8 weeks out. I'll post pics then. We shall see! :) Updated on 25 Apr 2017: I feel I'm finished for the time-being with Kybella treatments. I've done 2 rounds, 2 vials each time. I may revisit this and possibly do one or two more vials sometime in the future. It's nice to know this DOES work and remove the under chin fat without surgery. For now, I'm satisfied. The photos I'm uploading today were taken 8 weeks after the second round. All in all, I'm happy with the results. I've always had a weak chin, so although I didn't achieve a chiseled neck/chin, the improvements make me feel much more self confident. I've always hid behind long hair. Now, I'm wearing a pony tail or pinning my hair up regularly. I'm happy to actually see a jawline!
For areas such as nasolabial folds we suggest longer lasting fillers such as Voluma or Sculptra. Both last up to 2 years
SculpSure is a noninvasive body contouring treatment that only takes 25 minutes a treatment. The procedure itself is very simple. First, heat is administered to the treatment site by simply selecting the appropriate setting and applying the instrument to the skin. It attaches without suction, ensuring consistent results in every area treated. The longer the instrument maintains contact, the more it disrupts the subcutaneous fat cells. Once enough heat has been applied, the procedure is over with and you can return to your everyday activities and exercise regimen. Over the next 6 to 12 weeks, your body naturally eliminates the damaged fat cells. We have been having great results with this treatment and our patients love it!
We like to do what we call a liquid facelift where we use a combination of relaxers and fillers to smooth out wrinkles and folds, replace volume loss and restore the contours of youth. We also like to use our CO2 laser for skin resurfacing and facial rejuvenation.
There is a great new combination for redness and acne scars developed by the makers of the CynoSure ICON laser platform. It combines their very effective IPL done as one pass on the face and adds the 1540 non-ablative CO2 laser in a second pass for acne scars. You will see improvement with each treatment and will likely want to do 3 treatments. Less downtime and more effective than a deep peel. Look at 3forme.com to see an explanation of this combination treatment and office in the US that offer this service!
We recommend you wait two weeks for the filler to integrate. then it's no problem to resume diving
