I recently had my birthmark incised after 2 CO2 laser treatments that didn't fade the birthmark. My surgeon said it went well and the scar was normal. The redness around it is what I have a problem with. Sometimes the redness is very unnoticeable, sometimes it's very very dark. I was wondering if it's normal and if so how long will it take to heal. The birthmark was a light brown blotch maybe the size of sports drink cap. Any answer will be greatly appreciated. Thank you

The pulse dye laser or V Beam can be successful in over 90% of cases. You will require between 4-8 treatments. Birthmarks on the face do better than those on the limbs. Red birthmarks such as PWS are easier to treat than brown ones. All the bestDr Davin LimLaser DermatologistBrisbane,...
