I had a bbl in 2020 and had 450ccs transferred on each side of my butt. I am looking to go a little bigger. I know I don’t have much fat but I would ideally like to have an additional 600ccs atleast in each side. Based off my pictures could this be possible?
Answer: Considering round 2 BBL? You are in good company with many others who had high hopes for BBL but instead received disappointing results (lumpiness, unevenness, lack of projection in the central and/or lower buttock, post-deflation sagging, etc.). It is not quite as much the quality of the doctor but rather the quality of the procedure that is a large part of the problem. Thus, going back for round 2 BBL most often produces the same disappointing results but at another financial loss and more post-liposuction skin surface contour irregularities. Buttock implants indeed provide a more reliable, predictable, relatively safe, and permanent result, especially for adding projection to the buttock and often smoothing out lumpiness. Occasionally a lower buttock tuck may be advantageous for lower buttock fold asymmetries and/or sagging. Please keep in mind that an extremely few number of board-certified plastic surgeons specialize in buttock implants so be sure to consult with one that is reputable and experienced. Unfortunately you may have to travel long and far away from home to find this particular surgeon. Glad to help.

Answer: BBL candidate Dear JChana14, based on your photos, you look like a good candidate for a BBL. Liposuction of your abdomen, back and flanks should give you more curves and hourglass shape and fat transfer to buttocks should give you more projection. I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon because only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations. Answer: Want to go bigger - Can I get a second round BBL? Great qestion! You are a skinny BBL patient whom has already had a BBL. Your fat areas are very limited. So I offer cases like yours a "COMPOSITE" BBL - that is doing lipo to obtain any fat fir transfer and combining with an injection BBL, using Sculptra or Radeisse injections at same surgery. Fees depend on amunts of these products in vials/syringes needed. Usually 20-30 of the products in vials/syringes so the fees are much higher. Base fee with 24 vials is $12,000 - $24,000.

Answer: Second BBL A significant number of patients who have had second BBL’s learn to regret the decision and ask for a third procedure to reduce the size of the bottom. Others are very happy with the results. The biggest difference is getting an honest assessment and having quality work done. More fat can be harvested from your upper torso and one more round of Lipo from your abdomen waist and hips. It looks like you’re under arm and back we’re probably not treated the first time. After that arms and inner thighs are go to areas and can probably create at least as much fat as the first procedure. In order for us to make a good assessment on the outcome of a procedure patients should post proper before and after pictures. If you don’t have your before and after pictures please contact your surgeon and ask them to forward the one state took. From what I see I would be apprehensive to add that much fat. Women who have curvy bodies do so because of a skeletal structure that has inherent curves not because of an abnormal fat distribution. Trying to compensate for having a straight skeletal structure by stacking fat on the buttocks does not create the same look as having a curved skeletal structure. Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
