Why is my ankle so swollen 2 weeks after surgery? (Photos)

Thank you for your question and photo. The biggest concern is a DVT in this situation, however, it appears your surgeon has ruled this out. I would continue wearing your compression garment and elevating your legs. You can have swelling for weeks to months following lower extremity surgery. I recommend continuing to follow up closely with your plastic surgeon. 

First of all, congratulations on your thigh lift, gene0022!
Swelling after thigh lift is normal up to six weeks post-op, so there’s really nothing to be worried about.
Since you tested negative for a deep vein thrombosis, I suggest that you continue wearing your compression socks as instructed. Maybe ask your board-certified plastic surgeon for better-fitting compression socks if yours are not helping.
You should also elevate your feet every now and then to promote better blood circulation. If it persists, go back to your plastic surgeon for a proper evaluation.
