Can lip injections change the shape of my lips?

I have a cupids bow, but not too much of one and I really want rounded lips with an even “duller” cupids bow. Kinda like the desirable cartoon characger lips.

Hello and thank you for your question.  Yes, fillers can change your lip shape and soften your cupids bow.  I always suggest 2 to 3 treatments, spaced a few weeks apart to slowly build volume and let your tissues adapt, rather than putting in too much filler all at once. Yes, lip augmentations with fillers is a great option to improve the fullness, suppleness and symmetry of the lips and can also improve the shape of the lips. Results can be very natural-looking and will feel very natural. I prefer to use a micro cannula to inject the lips to prevent bruising. Look for a cosmetic dermatologist or plastic surgeon who is an expert in fillers to discuss your desired results and concerns and go over the cost of your procedure.

It is not advisable to inject more than 1 syringe of filler at a time to avoid over correction. You can always add more filler later if necessary.
