Hi, thanks for your question. The date of expiration refers to the deadline by which the filler should be injected, it does not mean that the filler will go bad once injected. As long as it is injected before the expiration date you have nothing to worry about. Please speak to your provider about any concerns that you might have.
Thank you for sharing your question. In simple terms, no the filler will not go bad the day after expiration, it is just advised that it is used before that deadline.
Dear Chrisannbe, you should be safe as long as the filler is used prior to expiration date. Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
Fillers should ideally be used before the expiration date. The filler will not go bad or go away on the expiration date though, so it could be injected anytime before the expiration date and the result will be the same as a filler with a further expiration date.
Hi, Thank you for your question! The answer is "no". To the best of my knowledge, the longevity of the product, once injected, should be the same as long as the product has not expired.
The expiration date applies only to the date by which the product should be injected. It does not apply to product once it has been injected. As long as you receive the filler treatment by the expiration date you should be fine.
HI there, As long as the product is placed in your lips before the expiration date you are fine. The expiration date is that at at which is shelf stable. once in you lips, that date is no longer applicable.
All expiration dates are set significantly before the product will actually expire. In fact many studies have shown that most products are good for up to 5 years after the "Expiration Date." Therefore, there is plenty of safety built into the date. That date is also calculated on storage in the syringe. Once injected, the filler is back in its natural environment and the expiration date no longer applies.
Hello and thank you for your question. We would always recommend a face to face consult however in this case yes you could still have lip filler however the scarring may become more prominent. It would be hard to say exactly what this would look like and a face to face consult would be best to...
For unique cases where a variety of modalities could be used to treat the condition, I would suggest an in-person or virtual consultation to develop a custom and effective treatment plan. It is difficult to precisely define the best option without collecting the same information. I suggest...
Hello and thank you for your question. Medically this would not be a problem however the trauma of lip filler plus the high speed wind may cause some pain. It would be best to space these two things out a little more for comfort. Hope this helps, Best wishes
