Both treatments complement one another. Application of a Jessner peel to prep your skin for a co2 laser would be a good option. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Los Angeles
You pose a good queation but you need more details in your question to answer adequately. A traditional CO2 laser is the "gold standard" for removing wrinkles. However most doctors in the last 10 years do not use this anymore and use a "fractional" CO2 laser. The fractional laser is a much easier recovery but less results than the traditional. A jessners solution itself is light peel and won't come close to a fractional or traditional CO2 laser. However, usually a jessners peel is combined with a 35% TCA peel to get effects somewhere between a fractional and traditional CO2 laser. This is somewhat of an educated guess as this chemical peel is partly art and depends on the physician. Please speak closely with your physician to understand exactly what is being offered to you.
laser is much better than peels and the long term results are best combined with microneedling and PRP. I suggest you go to a laser expert for treatment. Best, Dr. Emer.
I would suggest a non-ablative skin tightening treatment instead of fractional co2 for the knees. Options include Ultherapy and skin tightening with Yag laser. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Los Angeles
We typically use Melarase creams after fractional co2 for the face in order to even out skin tone and prevent hyperpigmentation. These options are excellent for skin rejuvenation. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Los Angeles
Thank you for your question. I try to avoid unnecessary creams after CO2 resurfacing as they can induce a negative outcome due to the preservatives present in open skin. I hope this helps!
