Question

hi, I notice that in photos/videos my nose is not delicate, impeding me to feel beautiful, so I'm considering a nose job. However, when I look myself in the mirror I feel that my nose has a right size and is ok, like an average woman. What's the more objective way to judge my nose? I'd like to improve my features and have a nose job only if it will be a benefit. I've used PS simulators but I've read they are not accurate. my PS has only evaluated my photos.Thank you for the advice and time.

It is very important to have objective analysis of a nose. The best way is to look at standardized photographs from frontal (straight), 3/4 partial sides and lateral photographs. Looking in the mirror is not as accurate as mirrors can distort images at times. RegardsDr. J

It looks at least from the frontal view, that you could benefit from nasal tip modification, but an evaluation in person would be essential.

When patients have a  crooked nose, there is shadowing effects that occur from lighting and flash photography. This gives the illusion of asymmetry  in pictures. Those asymmetries are not picked up when patient's look in the mirror with different lighting.  Rhinoplasty is the hardest operation to perform in the entire field of cosmetic surgery, so choose your rhinoplasty surgeon based on experience. Computer imaging performed in the office setting can give some realistic ideas on what can be and cannot be accomplished

Your nose is crooked and asymmetrical with a wide hanging tip. I strongly recommend that you consult re a rhinoplasty procedure to reduce, soften, and feminize your nose.

The reversed view in the mirror is that one you are used to. A photograph  is the unreversed view that the rest of the world sees and is less familiar to you. That's why a lot of people don't like their pictures high quality and standardized or not.  Try taking some pictures of yourself and reversing them and see what you think. There is no objective view of anything on the face. It depends on what you like I myself like your nose.
