What are the treatment options available to get rid of a permanent dilated vein in the eye?

Where can I get this treated? This is a deep vein that has been there for years and is visible, (approx 2inches). I have seen a webpage online of an eye doctor who claims to be able to "seal dilated" veins in the eye, however, she fails to provide information on the procedure and how it is performed. Can anyone provide information on what this procedure entails?

there are laser options for this, but do not do any sclerotherapy as this can put your vision and the skin around the eye at risk. you will find to find someone very experienced in lasers and skin care.  Best, Dr. Emer.

Hello. It seems that you are describing a vein involving the eye itself and not the areas outside of your eye. You should have your GP refer you to an eye specialist for further evaluation and treatment, if possible.

Periorbital veins can be treated by microphlebectomy or sclerotherapy.Very large veins may need microphlebectomy. Seek a vein specialist who has experience treating these and has used all of the techniques that have been described - RF, sclerotherapy, laser or microphlebectomy.
