I have had areola reduction surgery approximately 7 months ago. Since then, my areola have stretched horizontally a bit with some tension scarring. At my six weeks my surgeon had agreed to reduce my areola further but since the scarring has said that she would only do a scar revision and leave the areola the same size it is now. I am wondering if it is possible to reduce the areola with further surgery. I think they are so unsightly and large.

Areolar reductions can be done at the same time as a breast augmentation, but there is a limit to how much they can be reduced without having prominent unattractive scars. Discuss your options with a board certified plastic surgeon during a formal consultation.
