What is the best way to cover Juvederm bruising?

I had Juvederm a couple days ago. This time I got a nasty bruise on one side of my face around the smile line. It's impossible to cover up because its so black. I'm even using Dermablend. Any suggestions on how to cover it up?

This can be treated and cleared in 24-48 hours with a light pulsed dye laser treatment, ask your treating physician.  In the future get cannula injections to limit this from occuring.  Also, oxygenetics or CoverFX foundation is great.  Best, Dr. Emer.

I rarely get bruising from filler injection since using the blunt microcannulae by Cosmoplast , but if u get 1!use a product called ' Coverfx ' found at Sephora , comes in 3 shades , light , medium & dark depending on patient's complexion , also great cover for blemishes .

I am sorry that you had this problem after hyaluronic acid filler, but it is a very common side effect, and can be exacerbated if you are on any blood thinners to include aspirin or Vitamin E.  Ice can help somewhat.  Bromelain, which is an enzyme found in pineapple can also be of some help.  You can also call the provider and see if they have a green or peach camoflauge makeup that you can try.  It usually takes about 2 weeks for bruising of the face to improve, so hang in there! Your results will be worth it!

A pulse-dye laser can be very beneficial in clearing the bruising.  Possibly good make up and especially mineral make up can camouflage the bruising.

Have you tried Arnica?  Along with ice and elevation, this herbal medication is successful in improving bruising and swelling after Juvederm injections.  Ask you doctor if you are a good candidate for this treatment.  Good luck!

You could go back if they have a photofacial device or IPL and see if they can treat the bruise. This may shorten the duration/severity.  I think Dermablend is a good makeup for coverage but the makeup counter may be able to mix you a slightly different color to use over the bruise. In other words greenish hues cover red better, but mostly time will heal this. A bruise is normal though and sometimes you are just unlucky even with good injection technique. I'm the future try taking Arnica Forte the day of the injection. Avoid anything that could thin your blood for 10 days prior including fish oil supplements, ibuprofen or other NSAIDs, and even avoid drinking alcohol. All of these things will help for next time.
