I just had breast augmentation with a crease incision 10 days ago and one of my incisions seems to be healing weird. It is a little open at the end and there is yellow puss coming out of it. Do you think there could be an infection? What should I do?

Answer: Breast Augmentation Crease Incision Pussing - is it infected? Thank you for your question and photograph. Though from your picture your incision does not appear infected, it is something to relay to your surgeon to ensure that you go on to heal appropriately. This looks to be a mild wound dehiscence, or opening, and should be kept clean and covered until your body heals this on its own. If you start to have any spreading redness, increased tenderness/swelling/warmth to your breast than make an appointment to see your physician even sooner.

Answer: Looks like a blister with straw colored fluid known as.... Serous fluid, this is different from pus. All fluid is not pus. This could be reactive from absorbable suture which is most often the case. But to rule this out, one should contact the office and surgeon to ensure this is correct.
