Breast Augmentation Crease Incision Pussing - is it infected? (Photo)

There does appear to be some problems with the healing of your incision.  I would consider antibiotics in your situation.  Please see your surgeon immediately.

Thank you for your question and photograph.  Though from your picture your incision does not appear infected, it is something to relay to your surgeon to ensure that you go on to heal appropriately.  This looks to be a mild wound dehiscence, or opening, and should be kept clean and covered until your body heals this on its own.  If you start to have any spreading redness, increased tenderness/swelling/warmth to your breast than make an appointment to see your physician even sooner.  

Serous fluid, this is different from pus.  All fluid is not pus. This could be reactive from absorbable suture which is most often the case.  But to rule this out, one should contact the office and surgeon to ensure this is correct.

Thank you for the photo.  It appears that the wound has opened a little on one end.  This can be caused by a few things.   Usually it is tension on the wound.  Sometimes a suture placed in the wound under the skin will spit out.  This may cause the wound to then open a little.  It does not look like pus/infection, (although seeing it in person would give a better analysis).  What you are most likely seeing is some fibrinous exudate.  This is the wound laying down collagen and trying to heal itself. Please do contact your board certified plastic surgeon and let them know what is going on.  

I would recommend getting into see your plastic surgeon for further evaluation.  You may need a course of antibiotics, but again I would suggest getting an appointment as soon as possible with your plastic surgeon. Best of luck to you!

While you have a little area of delayed wound healing, it looks like in the photo just a minor separation. It is always best to review with you surgeon.

If you are concerned about your incision make an appointment to see your plastic surgeon as soon as possible. It's difficult from the picture to be able to give you a definitive answer, but there generally shouldn't be any pus or fluid coming from the incision 10 days after a breast augmentation. Thank you for your question. You said yellow pus coming out of the incision. Could be infection. You need to call your PS asap and explain this.
