I've developed an itchy rash under my breasts and in the areas where the tape was removed. I go see the surgeon today, and he has asked that I use cortizone cream (which has not worked)... thought I'd get some insight here! Thanks!

Answer: Skin rash It looks like an allergic reaction to the specific tape/bandage material that was used. Is it visible only on one breast or both? The main reason to see your surgeon is to exclude a possible infection, but otherwise the rash will improve by itself once the offending tape has been removed.

Answer: Rash treatment The rash can be due to an allergic reaction to the tape. Topical cortisone cream is the usual treatment. You should see your surgeon to have the area looked at before you self medicate.
