Los Angeles Vs. Miami...how come Miami doctors are usually less expensive?

The cost to use the operating room at most reputable surgery centers in Los Angeles with accreditation and that utilize MD anesthesiologists is about $3000 for a 2 to 3 hr surgery.   So with followup, nursing, office staff, office expenses, garment, supplies and bloodwork, etc. this cost is much higher.  Kenneth Hughes, MDLos Angeles, CA

When choosing a plastic surgeon, the most important thing to consider is that he or she is board certified, the experience with the procedure you are interested in and that you feel comfortable in his/her hands.

Greetings.  It is difficult to give a perfect answer. Possibly, the overhead / base expenses for the procedure may be less in Miami than in L.A.  In general, the cost of living and doing business is higher in L.A.  Best wishes.
