1 month post op cheek implant, right side is more swollen then the left. Is this normal?

It can take several weeks for the swelling to go down after your procedure. Tingling can be the sensations from healing. In the mean time, I recommend contacting your Dr. about after care to improve your results. Venus Legacy treatments may help reduce some of the swelling. Best, Dr. Emer

At just one month after your cheek implant surgery you still have some residual swelling, so the final results are not fully evident. You need to wait a full three months after surgery to judge the asymmetry. Art that point what you would be seeing, if it persists, is implant asymmetry. This is very common when paired facial implants are used like in the cheeks and jaw angles.

 Hi, I have performed many facial shaping procedures using dermal fillers, facial implants (cheek implants, chin implant), liposuction and/or facelifts for over 30 years. 
 The initial swelling, following cheek implants, typically subsides in the first several weeks if ice therapy is used along with restricted physical activity.  The more active the patient, the longer the swelling will persist.  You should of course ask and follow the post op instructions from your Cheek Implant Surgeon.  We have our cheek implant patients refrain from strenuous activity for 1 month and have them sleep on a U-shaped airline pillow for the same duration.  The swelling is always different on one side versus the other and will have no effect on the final result.  I have placed cheek implants in patients from law enforcement, the military, professional sports, actors/actresses and many from other very active professions.  At a month following the surgery the cheek implants should be stable (no screws or sutures required to secure implants), however the final shape and healing typically takes 3-4 months.
