I'm on 4 month and 3 week of my hairtransplant. So far im unhappy with the result. My donner area is healthy and even the doctor raved that my result will turn out great. I still have some transplanted hair that didn't shed or grow out yet. I expected to have alot more growth at almost 5 month. I asked the clinic about my result and they said I'm right where I should be at 4 month 3 week. I keep thinking that his my hairtransplant is a fail because this isn't the result I'm expecting at this time.

It is normal to lose transplanted hairs days to weeks after surgery.  It may take 6 to 12 months to see new hairs grow out.  Some people may not lose or shed the hairs.

It is far too early to tell at this point. The new hair only just begins to sprout at around the 3 month mark. At about 6 months about half of the hairs should grow out. It generally takes up to 12 months to see your full results. In the meantime, follow the post-op instructions of your physician. At around the 9-12 month mark, you should visit your doctor to discuss the growth and progress of your results. Your physician will advise you accordingly. We advise our patients to use Rogaine as well as to consider PRP treatments.

It's too soon to tell. You won't really know until approximately 9 months post transplant. Use rogaine every evening.

It takes 8-12 months to see your final results.  4 or 5 months is much too soon to label your procedure as a 'failure' because you expected more at this time.  Give it another 4-8 months, then go see your surgeon to review photos and discuss your results.  In the meantime, if you haven't started anything for maintenance or prevention to keep you native hair healthy, you should consider laser, minoxidil (Rogaine), platelet-rich plasma (PRP and finasteride (Propecia).

It is much too soon to be upset with your results. Remember each patient gets results at different times during the first 12-18mo. After that amount of time if you don’t have final results you are happy with, speak with your doctor. Patience is very important.
