Fraxel is great for under the eyes, but keep in mind, a combination approach will give the most improvement. Fillers, lasers, and microneedling/PRP can improve under the eyes. My patients try to get non surgical treatments to avoid surgery. We use PRP and stem cells there often. I suggest consulting with an expert to develop a treatment plan best suited for your short and long term goals. Best, Dr. Emer
At our practice we love using ThermiSmooth for the under eye area. It is a great option for people who do not desire injectables and does not cause any discomfort. ThermiSmooth gently warms the skin to stimulate collagen production. In the months following the ThermiSmooth treatment, the existing collagen continues to tighten and new collagen is formed; so the results get even better with time!
Without properly assessing the degree of under eye laxity, I can only suggest thermismooth for mild to moderate skin laxity and would also combine treatments based on the severity. Thank you for your question. Thermismooth and Protege are very similar. They are both radio frequency technology. I have worked with both of them, and as it stands today, I prefer Thermismooth. It is more comfortable for the patient, it shows me your skin temperature in real time, and it has the...
I have been performing ThermiSmooth and Pelleve, both similar procedures using external radiofrequency energy, for many years with good results and perform it as frequently as weekly to every two weeks.
Thank you for your question. Thermismooth is great for skin wrinkles/laxity. That being said, it does NOT address hollowness. The way radio frequency works is that it heats the underlying tissues to a certain degree of temperature quickly, and maintains for a number of minutes. These we know by...
I have been performing ThermiSmooth for three years and prior to that my patients underwent Pelleve. Both are externally delivered radiofrequency treatments for skin tightening. I have never had a patient complain about fat atrophy and would be surprised to see that because the temperature of...
