What did the surgeon do during the operation that lead to the scarred skin? How common is it to have disfigured skin as a result of a hair transplant? Also, very low survival occurred.

Answer: It is not common to have a "disfigured" skin or scarring in the recipient area after your hair transplant surgery.

Anytime you have a donor strip harvested for FUT there will be a scar and it will likely be visible if you shave your head.
Some of the patchy areas around the scar may improve with time and the inflammation from the scar healing improves.
