Dear yvette 1969,patients which combine BBL and TT often have a problem finding the ideal position for them and their recovery. TT requires lying on back and BBL requires avoiding pressure on the buttocks. Every plastic surgeon has his own postoperative protocol so I would recommend you to consult your plastic surgeon.Daniel Barrett, MD, MHA, MSCertified, American Board of Plastic Surgery Member, Am. Your surgeon should provide you with what he or she wants you to do, because it may be different from what I recommend. This recovery is challenging, but my patients focus on the fact that both procedures were accomplished with optimal results in one surgery; and they only have to go through recovery once. (Had the procedures been performed separately, the TT recovery is most comfortable on your back. The BBL is best on your stomach to prevent pressure on the transferred fat.) Because you opted for the combination surgery, you have a couple of options. You can sleep on your sides or place pillows underneath your thighs and lower back.
