This needs an in-person evaluation. Laser settings will vary due to skin tone, sensitivity, etc. Diode, alexandrite and yag lasers work best for hair removal. I typically have patients do every 4 weeks for the first 3 times and then every 4-6 weeks for 3 times after. It will take a series of treatments and some people need treatments to maintain. See an expert in laser hair removal for best results. Best, Dr. Emer
Thanks for the question. Getting the precise settings for hair removal laser therapy is not as simple as it might seem. A personalized evaluation is essential for accurate settings for a particular patient. The settings will vary with skin tone, thickness of skin, region of skin, and sensitivity among other factors. In addition, every laser equipment has different settings. YAG, Diode and Alexandrite lasers are among the best lasers for hair removal therapies. It also takes a series of laser treatments and some patients will need treatments to maintain the effect. This would sometime involve completely different settings for different visits for the same patient. I would suggest you to see a medical professional who is an expert in laser hair removal to prevent complications of laser treatment.I hope this helps.
Thank you for your question. Unfortunately, there is no proper answer. Your laser technician is the one who will decide what setting is best for you based on your skin tone, hair and pain tolerance. I recommend having a consultation with an expert to determine the best treatment plan for you. Best of Luck!
The settings depend on a few of factors: 1) How your skin reacts 2) The handpiece that is used 3) Your skin type 4) The characteristics of the hair. It is best to see a physician with experience and good reviews.
There is no real answer to be given to this question. Your provider is the one who will decide what setting is the best for you based on your skin tone, hair, and pain tolerance. This is why it is so important to go to a reputable and trustworthy practitioner for your LHR needs.
Thanks for you question, but there is no proper answer. Settings are different for every machine and what an experienced LHR clinicians observes. If you changed salons / technicians, everything could be completely different. Leave the settings to the experts. You would be better served finding an office with medically supervised technicians that get to know you and you can get consistent treatments. All LHR is not the same. It depends on the machine, how they take care of it, the settings and technique. If you are chasing the cheapest price, you will probably have a bad experience. Best of luck.
