Could this be infection or just bruising from door knob hitting my cheek? Does it look critical? What would you recommend?

Great question.  A door knob hitting you may cause bruising but you would not think that it would result in increasing pain.  It may be hard to know what is going on in terms of regular bruising vs infection since you are on antibiotics.  The key will be whether the symptoms and how things look get better with time or if they do not.  Worsening symptoms is an indication that something is wrong, that an infection may be possible, and that the antibiotics are not adequately treating the infection.Good luck with your recovery.

The fevers and the pain getting worse is a cause for concern however you do not have skin necrosis.  Make sure to continue antibiotics and follow up with your PS weekly.
