I had rhinoplasty in December and it turned out to be a complete nightmare. I don't even recognize myself. I have a thick ethnic nose and only wanted minimal improvement. my nose is too short for my face and my nostrils stick out more than ever. It looks so unatural. I have been dealing with deep depression because of this. Is there any hope to get this fix in the future with revision:(
Answer: Horrible rhinoplasty: my nose is too short for my face and my nostrils stick out. Please help! Thank you for your question. It is too early to judge your results. Please be patient as things will improve over the next several months. If there are still issues at that time a revision is certainly possible. All The Best !

CONTACT NOW Answer: I suspect you could be helped, possibly using a permanent or temporary filler. Maybe non-surgical is the best way to go. Dear seekingrev in California, California: Sorry the rhinoplasty has not been a good experience for you. There is a possibility that you could be helped with filler or maybe even with shrinker. What does your doctor say? What does your doctor recommend? Yes, there is always hope and maybe you would be well-served with a second opinion by one or more doctors who are very specialized in nasal surgery, particularly revision rhinoplasty. Many such surgeons have the facility with both shrinkers and fillers to make improvements that would obviate the need for yet another surgical rhinoplasty. You owe it to yourself to investigate this but first you need to get as much information as you can from your surgeon. If you decide to go for a second opinion, don’t forget to bring all of the photos and medical records with you so the consulting doctor has a good handle on “where it all started.” Best wishes, Robert Kotler, MD, FACS Over 4,500 nasal procedures performed

Answer: Post-op rhinoplasty If you just had your surgery in December it is very likely that a significant amount of swelling will still go down with time. Patients with thicker skin tend to hold on to swelling a bit more and it takes 6-9 months to see how things are progressing. I would recommend giving it some time and then at the nine month mark, you can start considering another surgery if your expectations aren't met. Best of luck

Answer: Horrible Rhinoplasty: My Nose is to Short Dear seekingrev, I would speak with your surgeon regarding your concerns. He/she knew best what your proposed results were and where you are in the healing phase. I would suggest that you wait patiently in the interim as the results will change as the swelling dissipates. Have your surgeon provide you some peace of mind during this healing process. Best regards, Michael V. Elam, M.D.

Answer: Not Satisfied with Rhinoplasty Results 4 Months after Surgery At 4 months after surgery it is too soon to evaluate your rhinoplasty results because your nose will change as healing progresses. Wait another 6 months before making any decisions but in the interim discuss this with your surgeon.
