Does Facial RF treatment help in Reducing nasal tip swelling after rhinoplasty?

Hello Doctors, I had a close surgery, bridge augmentation rhinoplasty. 3 weeks post op now. Recovering really well. My doctor advised me that I can have a facial Radio Frequency treatment and that will help with the swelling and firmness of my nasal tip. I tried researching info about this and can't find any. Is this true? RF treatment will quicken the swelling of nasal tip? Okay to have RF around 4 weeks post op? Thank you!!

Thank you very much for enquire.It's too early to make value judgments with only 3 weeks after a rhinoplasty.Swelling after a rhinoplasty depends of the surgery complexity.In this regard, the nasal swelling Post-op It can last from two weeks to two months.To reduce this swelling, I recommend you perform delicates daily lymphatic drainage massage therapy over the face (around the nose) avoid sun exposure, and take pain/inflamation pills, as your surgeron precribe you.Kind regards, Dr. Emmanuel Mallol Cotes.-

Radiofrequency treatments subject the soft tissues to electromagnetic energy is converted to heat. This will aggravate swelling and should be avoided after rhinoplasty.
