2 months post op Rhinoplasty, I've gotten a bump on my nose bridge. Why have I gotten it and what I need to do? Thank you

Hello, and thank you for your question. At 2 months post-op, there is a large amount of swelling still present; this can create the appearance of asymmetry and irregularities. In general, 70% of the swelling subsides after 3-4 months, and it may take 18-24 months to see the final results of surgery. Swelling after surgery can be due to the following: Whether the procedure was a revisionWhether the procedure was open or closed Whether tip work was performed Thickness of the patients’ skin I would recommend following up with your surgeon, as he or she is familiar with the nature of your surgery and can advise you during the healing process. If this bump is recent and from trauma, then you should contact your board certified facial plastic surgeon immediately.
