In general, 70% of the swelling subsides after 3-4 months, and it may take 18-24 months to see the final results of surgery. Swelling after surgery can be due to the following: Whether the procedure was a revisionWhether the procedure was open or closed Whether tip work was performed Thickness of the patients’ skin I would recommend following up with your surgeon, as he or she is familiar with the nature of your surgery and can advise you during the healing process. I hope this information helps, and I wish you the best of luck.

If you still require assistance, I would be happy to help you further. All the best,Dr. Michelle Yagoda

Healing after rhinoplasty is quick, but there's more to the story. I like to think of rhinoplasty healing in 5 phases. The FIRST phase is roughly 1 week (5-7 days). It is the amount of time most individuals are off work, homebound, recovering. It ends when your surgeon removes the cast, splints,...

From the very limited photographs, it appears the nose looks pretty good and it might not be worth only a couple millimeters of change to undergo the entire nasal procedure. The Photographs also demonstrate a weak and recessive chin profile which makes the nose look bigger. Consider a small c...
