Hi beartower1990,Thank you for the question. The best scan would probably be a CT scan. It is cheaper and easier. However, I question whether you need a scan at all. If you need a revision surgery, then the surgeon will be able to look and see what is in the nose at the time of the surgery. The surgeon can also make plans ahead of time of what might need to be performed if there is silicone in the nose or not. In other words, I don't know if a scan really gives any meaningful information and whatever information it does provide is probably less valuable than the expense, both in terms of cost, radiation exposure, and time, of having a scan performed.There are probably a lot of different opinions about this question, but that is my two cents.Please let us know if you have any other questions or concerns!Dr. Ward
