I’m now a little more than 2 months after 2200 fue transplant some grafts didn’t shed but if I pull them they come easy. But I don’t know if it’s ok to pull them (they come very easy) or just leave them be. My concern is that the skin looks a little darker from the rest and I can’t be without a hat on public because makes me look different
Answer: 2 months after FUE transplant some grafts are still there not shedded. I cannot exactly tell from the photo but there is a good and a bad sign to non shedding. I good sign after two months and no shedding would be no inflammation and the hairs are growing just fine. This is very rare however that they do not shed and just keep growing. If this happened then be very happy! The bad sign is that you have a red angry inflamed area in the recipient area. In this case the hair follicles wanted to shed but were being held back and are stuck. The new hair follicles want to grow in but are stopped by the old follicle shafts, This is where the irritation comes in. The reason for that is because they needed help to shed by proper washing and scrubbing post op. After two weeks post op a person should be scrubbing normally thereby helping the old hair follicles to shed.

Answer: Growth phase after a hair transplant After a hair transplant, it is normal to start loosing the hair shafts between week 2 and just over 2 months. You most likely will lose more hairs before the regrowth starts at about 3 months. Depending on your skin color there may be a color change however, this too will resolve over time. You should be wearing a hat for the next 6 months post surgery to avoid excess sun exposure on your new healing scalp.

Answer: Grafts This is very normal. Some patients tend to keep their grafts some patients loose them and they go into a dormant phase where they start to regrow by the 6th to 9th month. If you lose them this is fine, keeping them is also ok. Everyone is different. The redness is scabbing and that should go away within time. It all looks very healthy and normal. However, I wouldn't pull the small hairs out.
