I expected it to shed and although some have there hasn’t been a lot. I am comfortable with shedding in fact I expected it but it’s the fact I haven’t that’s unnerved me.Is this likely to shed? I have tried to speak to my surgeon but he has gone AWOL since the op.

Sometimes the hair keeps growing wıthout getting thru the shedding period. 4 weeks is a very short time. Sedding can happen up to the first 2nd months.

If you tried to speak to your surgeon and he has gone "AWOL" as you state,  it would be a bad sign.  It takes 6 to 12 months to see results.

It is possible that you will not fully shed after a hair restoration procedure and that it will keep growing. However this is very rare. The AWOL statement is concerning though. If you have questions concerning your transplant you should be able to speak with your clinic. I hope you resolve this. Concerning your non-shedding. Be happy! This is a blessing if you do not shed.

Instant growth occurs in less than 4% of patients who have had a hair transplant. IF is a great thing to happen if this is you
