lashes. Likewise, once the medication is stopped, the growth cycle returns to
its normal duration so once the hairs fall out, the new ones grow in at
their normal length of growth cycle and so the hairs revert back to their

It came about as a product because people that were using a similar product for glaucoma purposes (into the eyes) were getting crazy, long eyelashes as a "side effect". Allergan decided to make and study this product as a cosmetic product and have the users apply the product to the eyelashes themselves rather than insert it into the eyes. The results were the same and patients experienced longer, thicker, and darker lashes. What Latisse does is extend the "growth" phase of the hair process, making lashes grow longer, thicker, and darker because this phase of the process is extended.
