Hi, My skin has some broken vein which appears purple on my cheeks & the fold of my nose. I also have blue vein on the jowl area that I would like to get rid off. In overall I have normal to dry skin type & some big pores on my cheeks. These are problems I consulted with a skin specialist (not dermatologist) here in Calgary. I was told that IPl is not for my skin colour as it can take the pigment out of my skin, is it true? Based on my skin condition what type of treatment should I seek?

You definitely can have the V-Beam or IPL laser over the chin implant. It should be a very effective procedure for you but please consult a specialist. Best, Dr. Green
Thanks for your query. The PIH will go but it takes its own sweet time. You can send in a picture and we can advise you topical creams which can fasten the process of healing. Hope it helps. All The Best
In my experience that at home IPL and laser hair removal treatments do not work. Having a darker skin tone you are at greater risk for hyperpigmentation as well as hypopigmentation. It's best to find a trained professional and not risk permanent damage to your skin. Look for the Venus Versa....
