They are quite obvious and seem to be getting worse and that more are forming. What can be done about them? I also have many blue veins around my eyes that are not to pretty either. Is there a safe treatment for these veins?

Answer: Laser treatments such as the CoolTouch Varia can work very well for facial veins.
Nasal veins in a 5 year old is certainly not something that I commonly see. A better picture would be helpful but from what I can see, the options for treatment would be laser or sclerotherapy. You would need to see someone with experience treating children with this kind of a vein problem.
Both the q Switch and the picoway lasers help with hemosiderin staining. Sometimes topical creams such as dermaka and licorice extract topically will help. Most importantly, a large portion of staining will spontaneously resolve over about one year.
