Bruising on face post pulse dye laser treatment. Any suggestions? (photo)

I had a pulse dye laser treatment for a red spot on my face (I have rosecea). I ended up with quite a bruise. Is this normal? Is it possible I might scar or have permanent discolouration? How long does it take to resolve and what can I do to speed up the process?

I have tried everything to treat this and have found very little that gives good results.  Non ablative lasers, microsecond YAG, q switched/tattoo lasers can be tried.  Sometimes peels such as VI work.  Best, Dr. Emer.
